Share the Love: Introducing Data Gifting

At Slice, we believe in sharing love and making sure everyone gets a slice of the action. And what better way to show it than by sharing your data with the people you care about?

That’s why we have launched a brand new feature, Data Gifting - making Slice the first UK mobile network that lets you share your data with anyone else on the same network (Slice Mobile, obvs). Whether it’s your best mate, your housemate, your sibling, or even that person you went on a date with last week who’s running dangerously low on data, now you can give them a boost in seconds.

How Data Gifting Works

  • If you are on a Slice paid plan you can gift data to any other existing Slice customer (Free Trial doesn’t count, they must be on a paid plan).
  • Share up to 10GB of your available data per month, in 1GB, 3GB, 5GB or 10GB chunks. Spread it around or go all-in, it’s your call.
  • Gifted data lasts 30 days, so they’ve got a whole month to enjoy your generosity.

How to Gift Data

  1. Open the Slice app > Plans page > Data Gifting.
  2. Enter your friend’s phone number (make sure they’re a Slice user).
  3. Choose how much data you want to share - up to 10GB (e.g. 10GB to one user or 1GB each to 10 users).
  4. Hit send and voilà! Your friend is instantly credited, and you’re notified too.

Your friend will see their gifted data in the app and get a push notification letting them know it’s from you.
