Share the Love: Introducing Data Gifting

At Slice, we believe in sharing love and making sure everyone gets a slice of the action. And what better way to show it than by sharing your data with the people you care about? That’s why we have launched a brand new feature, Data Gifting - making Slice the first UK mobile network that lets you share your data with anyone else on the same network (Slice Mobile, obvs). Whether it’s your best mate, your housemate, your sibling, or even that person you went on a date with last week who’s running dangerously low on data, now you can give them a boost in seconds. **How Data Gifting Works** * If you are on a Slice paid plan you can gift data to any other existing Slice customer (Free Trial doesn’t count, they must be on a paid plan). * Share up to 10GB of your available data per month, in 1GB, 3GB, 5GB or 10GB chunks. Spread it around or go all-in, it’s your call. * Gifted data lasts 30 days, so they’ve got a whole month to enjoy your generosity. **How to Gift Data** 1. Open the Slice app > Plans page > Data Gifting. 2. Enter your friend’s phone number (make sure they’re a Slice user). 3. What. A. Day. On Sunday 15th June, we didn’t just take Slicers to Parklife in Manchester, we became the pre-party. The Slice XC-Xpress - the UK’s first ever open-top rave bus - took three unforgettable trips to drop festival goers at Parklife, where Charli XCX was headlining (see what we did there? 😉). Let’s just say: our Slicers energy hit main-stage levels before anyone even stepped through the gates. **The Setup** Picture it: a neon-bright open-top double-decker bus (green? yellow? The Slicer debate still going strong), decked out with a full sound system, unlimited free drinks, live DJ sets, and a moving dancefloor that had Manchester staring. Starting from St John’s (next to Aviva Studios), our party-on-wheels rolled through the city with full festival vibes on board, picking up surprise superstar DJs along the way.
